- Penguins encouraged by Malkin’s return from injury
If it wasn’t enough for teams in the league to hear that Crosby is skating, the Penguins also had great things to say about Evgeni Malkin who too is returning from injury. Two key pieces to the Penguins attack getting healthy could lead to another march of the Penguins come the spring. Now if only we could get Morgan Freeman to call a game.
- Rangers are early season road warriors
And we’re going to Philadelphia, to Sweden, to Slovakia and to Switzerland, ya-ha! No, this isn’t the reprise of Howard Dean, it’s the New York Rangers travel schedule since Sept. 26th. NYR stops off in Long Island on Saturday before heading west next week.
- DiPietro takes puck IN THE FACE and is out
Usually the new guy is the one who is hazed by his teammates, not the other way around. Islanders newcomer Brian Rolston took out veteran teammate Rick DiPietro. Wednesday in practice Rolston hit DiPietro in the mask with a shot, no time table for his return. Good thing the Isles signed Rick to that 15-year contract.
Game Schedule:
Carolina Hurricanes @ Buffalo Sabres – 7:30 PM ET
San Jose Sharks @ Anaheim Ducks – 10 PM ET

Hi Bob…I am not a sports fan even in the slightest sense but after reading what you Mom said about you I just had to have a peek! It sure will be an interesting blog to those who love sport and who follow it. If you can be as good as your Mom you will have a very successful blog. She is brilliant!
